A high rise building, where from the top many buildings can be seen. While in the village, he commanded certain degree of respect, but as of now he is every time gloomy and sad. Frankly speaking he is never happy in the town he’s settled. Man Maya Karki is his wife who has been able to establish her identity after coming to town. As she had worked as a president of women welfare organization in the village, she is now actively involved with one of the human right organization. Her days end going around with the work of human rights and welfare. A small and happy family, they have a daughter and a son. Their son is a veterinary doctor in Australia who on occasionally sends E-mail. While in reply Suryababu writes back, ‘Son, you must come home during this Dussera and get tied in nuptial bond. Don’t forget to send your blood report. I have just arranged of relationship for you with one of my friends daughter who has just completed here engineering studies. She has agreed though, her final condition is to check your blood report.’ In reply his son writes, ‘I am busy right now, if horoscope matches, try to complete the formalities, I’ll definitely come home in Dussera. Suryababu murmured to himself, it’s all my fault that I sent my only son abroad. Now I’m made to suffer. What did he lack in, all the luxury of money, car and house. Let him come back once, I assure that he never returns back. But what will he do here? What he earns there in a month cannot be equated even after years of toil and sweat here. What kind of fate he got that he has to earn compromising own parents love. None of his contemporary has done well. One among them has become an addict. What kind of time has come that you need blood report for marriage. Nature has become very much polluted. Our great grandpa used to say that he had tied the nuptial knot before he was five years of age. Sunita’s mom had eloped with me just after a single date. Man maya’s just presence would be enough to quench my thirst while working at the field. I know that our horoscope had been matched before getting married. But, I had never heard of blood report. After the invention of atom bomb, knowing mass destruction was inevitable, national and international institution had been established to ensure peace. And as of now, who is going to face the element that has even polluted the human blood and the nature? How long would this fiddling between atom bomb and the physical world continue? Knowing that his life is nearing setting like a sun in the west, Suryababu is now a day busy organizing religious ceremonies, making social contacts and discussing his son’s marriage. Like a morning he used to dawn like a sun, busied himself during the daytime with lot of activities and in the evening would retire tired of thinking all these in hope of new dawn the other day. Equipped with all the modern day’s gazettes and gizmos, Suryababu’s has made the facility of online education for his only daughter sunita. She has no friend in the neighbor, though she has lot a many online friends. While sometimes she is busy browsing for notes, rest of the time she is engaged in chatting. Of a recent she has found a new online friend. Even in the mid noon she is busy chatting. She is busy chatting with her newly found friends, from London, America and many more. ‘You are too late,’ a friend named Albert calls for her attention. ‘No, No! I’m very busy with my other friend,’ sunita writes back. ‘Where are you from?’ ‘I’m from India.’ ‘Oh! You are Indian, I like Indians.’ ‘Thank you.’ ‘Are you virgin?’ ‘Why? You silly boy? And sends with number of question marks. ‘I’m not joking but serious. Do you have any boyfriend there? ‘Oh No! I don’t believe in this kind of things.’ Quite emotionally he writes back, ‘I’ve heard that Indian women are virgin till they get married. Isn’t it true?’ ‘May be you have heard of it, but it cannot bet on it. What do you do there?’ For quite a long moment she does not get the reply. Sunita writes back again, ‘send you photograph. Webcam is not functioning properly; I’ll send you as soon as it gets right.’ ‘Have you not married yet?’ ‘Oh yes.’ ‘When are you going to marry?’ ‘Marry!’ ‘Yes.’ Sunita writes back in sentimental mood, ‘I don’t believe in this kind of material thing. Get married and have kids, oh! I just can’t imagine. A new world, that’s evolving around crime like rape and murder. An un-imaginable world. Why to put this nature in shame by marrying.’ ‘Don’t be serious, it’s natural. Why are you thinking against the nature? Do you know that if the dam made by blocking your youth would burst and bring a greater calamity? And if it happens and you go the wrong way, how would you control yourself?’ ‘It’s just enough. I just don’t want to further pollute my blood in this world that has made me so desolate. Sunita, it’s just your complex that’s driving you to this conclusion. If you desire so, you can change the course of the whole society. If a conscious woman like you talks in this manner, it is not done. You need to struggle right from now to preserve the human value in the society. And of course, you can hoping of been gratified and start a new society. The world most rich and ancient culture must be secured from being blotted. ‘May be your views are right.’ Sunita replies back arguing, ‘who can be relied and believed? Even a five month old baby is being raped; humanness has lost its meaning. Every day newspaper headline scream of father raping his own daughter here and there. To be frank, I simply hate the half part of men. May be it’s my free opinion. Please don’t mind. ‘Oh no, it’s past three O’ clock. Let’s end our conversation for now and meet tomorrow. Sun is about to set and by evening server gets down and net doesn’t function properly.’ As she signs out, there is one mail in the inbox sent by her brother from Australia. As she cannot understand the Doctor language, she simply takes out the print. Outside, situation has turned gloomy, may be thunderstorm is about to strike. Sunita shuts down the computer and walks towards her father Suryababu to show her brothers blood report.
